Spring Fever

This spring break has been very fun. The kids and I started it out with a picnic in the front yard. They were good sports about the pictures at first, but after a few minutes they were done.

Easter was a great day! I really enjoyed teaching my 2 year olds about Jesus' resurrection. I had them all saying "He has Risen!" Such a great theme for all of us to remember. He has risen, and we are all saved because of his sacrifice. Easter morning was full of fun with the kids finding what the Easter Bunny had left. They got board games this year. I am hoping that we can find time as a family to play together each week. Brock had been dying to get Hungry Hungry Hippos, and has loved playing it. Claire loved the markers and has been drawing pictures every day.

Great bed head!

Brock is sporting his Hugh Hefner look!

All dressed and ready for Church

Easter afternoon we had lunch at Mom & Dad's house. It was our whole family (minus Tim who was at the NCAA Tourney with Jason & Ryan), my grandparents and Jerome Williams. Dad made Jerome sing to us after lunch so we enjoyed a little praise and worship session in my parents living room. Lani & Lona are his biggest fans and were hilarious. All the pictures of them are blurry because they danced the whole time. Too Cute. The kids had a great Easter egg hunt and were hilarious as always.

The whole group is looking at the camera. This has to be a first!

The "twin babies" as they are called at our house, watching Jerome sing.

The Hunt Begins!

On Monday Mom took the girl cousins and Brock to the lakehouse and Tuesday they left for Branson. They stayed at the Grand Country Inn and played in the indoor water park and swam at the indoor pool. They had a great time. Brock was jumping off the side of the pool which is something he wouldn't do last year. I see swimming lessons in his future. I joined them on Tuesday after my drs apt (I will get to that) and we did some serious shopping. The kids did remarkably well during the shopping extravaganza and didn't complain at all. They liked the Disney store the best and as a treat we went several times. The rest of the week has been low key and just some fun at home. I have really enjoyed having Claire home and am looking forward to summer and more time with her and Brock together.

Now about my drs visit. I have a very high level of some bacteria in my stomach lining which has most likely caused an ulcer. I go to see the gastro dr on Monday to see her and schedule a scope. They have me on this medication that is about to kill me. I can't decide what is worse the symptoms or the cure! Please pray that this will get better soon. Also, my Epstein Barr levels are really high again which could lead to mono. Although I wouldn't mind the weight loss I experienced the last time I had it, the loss of energy levels wouldn't work out well in my current situation as a mother! Please pray that I will be able to ward this off!

This post has turned into an epiphany so I will end now. Happy Spring!

Tball Begins

Brock had his 2nd tball practice of the year last night. I didn't get to go to his first practice because of Duck Duck Goose. I hated to miss the first one, but the 2nd was fun too. Brock figured out last night that you can win or lose at this game, and now seems to be a little more serious about getting better. He promised me that if he gets out then he won't scream and cry, but we will see. Anyway, got some good pictures which is what is important anyway.

BAIL OUT!

Jennifer Smith Green send me an email! How awesome that you of all people saw the Bailing out part of my story! I can never use that phrase without thinking of you and a certain trip down your hill. How old is that cousin now, 30? It just makes me smile. The sad thing is that it turns out you and Luke (your brother) were the smartest people I know. How about them apples! Glad you posted a comment and look forward to future emails.

Court Case In Georgia!

http://abcnews.go.com/Health/MindMoodNews/story?id=4402930&page=1

There has been a ruling in Georgia this week for a family that says that their daughters autistic symptoms WERE caused by the immunizations. They are saying that she had a pre-existing condition that caused a reaction to her shots. I admire this family for their fight and am wondering if now is the time to stand up and start fighting too. I know that there are going to be thousands of parents who are also going to begin to feel that we have a valid fight on our hands. It should give me peace to know that we are gaining ground, but it doesn't. It makes me furious. I want to go throw this report into the face of the "Dr." who told me all that was wrong was a lack of discipline. I want to scream and yell at someone, but what good would that do? I just hope that now it will open up a real dialogue within the medical community and see if we can get this stopped so other young mothers don't have their babies taken away from them, not physically, but spiritually. There is no way that I will ever be able to describe the heartache that Tim and I have lived through over the past few years all because Drs don't want to take the time to recheck the research on this one. I know that there are other mothers who read this blog that empathize with me and are living this nightmare too. I would love to hear from you how you feel about this ruling. I could use some counseling here! Why is this making me so mad?
Hey if John Land is reading this .... good things can happen in Georgia!

The Best Morning!

This morning we woke up to a beautiful snow. Tim said that there was no way school was going to happen so he was turning off the alarm. Well, school happened. But, we took Claire 2 hours late, because you can't waste a good snow in Arkansas. It is a rare occasion, and you must take advantage of it while you can! The kids woke up and looked outside and were screaming and going nuts. We got everyone dressed (total chore!) and went out to play. It was such a fun morning. Brock has been dying to ride on the sled so today he got his chance. One benefit of living off the side of a cliff is that you have a great place to sled. The downside is that you have to learn the art of bailing off at just the right moment. Brock did great but Claire, not so much. Tim and I both about broke bones trying to stop her from sailing off the edge of the earth. It was still more fun that I have had in awhile. You can see from their faces how much they enjoyed it.

House for Sale!

Well yesterday at 11:30ish I officially put our house on the market. It has taken about 3 weeks of hard work on my part and Tim's part, but we are close enough that I feel comfortable taking the next step. It feels really strange. I have not put flyer's out yet or put signs up at the corner, but the sign is in the yard. Whew! I am just crossing my fingers that this one will sell easily. I got spoiled when my last house sold in 3 days! So if you know of anyone looking for a great home send them my way!
